Been a while...

So, this feels funny. Jumping back onto something from the past instead of creating a whole new project, which is something that I have become very familiar with in the past three years since I have posted. Jumping into new projects has been mine and Chloe's jam. First off we started a business. We had tons of help and support but yeah, we opened up a Yoga, Massage, Healing, and Wellness studio in our small, traditional town of NEPA. In an old train station! Full steam ahead, we struggled, but eventually learned how to start, and run a business. We have been open one year and eight months now, working seven days a week, with no pay. Yes, we are still broke (personally, not the business!) It's been challenging learning how to budget, save, and spend the money where it counts, and still offer the cheapest yoga in the state (we have good hearts).

Being total boss babes has been totally time consuming, so I feel that I could go on and on about work but this blog isn't solely about that. At the same time as our business was starting, my younger, yet arguably more mature, sister moved in with us! We've been three peas in a pod since... literally we sleep in a full size bed stacked next to each other every night because one of us sleeping in the other room feels sad and lonely. Needless to say there have been many a long night spent sweating, elbowing, and complaining of no room, but we really wouldn't have it any other way... at least for now....

The dream house is still a topic of daily discussion. We constantly daydream of what our interior design aesthetic should be, and what we are going to change about daily life when we have the dream house, and gosh all we really want is for it to just be "simple". That's right, 'bout to name drop for a second so I can give you a visual... if you haven't heard of David Kitz, and his lovely wife, you must   immediately search and follow on insta so you may gaze upon the utter perfection that is his photography and world. Clean. Fresh. Simple. Our theme for the dream house.

We have had some large life lessons learned in the past three years. First, trust no-one, Second, give everyone a second chance, Third, never believe what anyone tells you and again trust no-one. So yeah we have some cynicism developing as we grow a little older but we're dang happy. That was the next life test- how to be happy after learning and feeling such disappointment from others. Still a tricky one, I have to say, but the Big Guy chose well when He sent us on the career path of inner peace, love, and wellness. We've definitely learned to practice what we preach. Take yoga- teach yoga, Meditate- radiate, Help yourself- help others. Learning to not take things so personally was another biggie. Three years ago if anyone told me something negative about myself and or actions I would feel one or all of these three things- embarrassment, defensiveness, or defeat. No good, people, no good. Learning to actually listen to those who criticize you and value their perspective, if its constructive, is a very helpful lesson indeed. It almost takes all the weight off of feeling like you messed up in the first place when you can hear someone, take their advice, and apply it in your own best way. #betterforit. If the person criticizing is either jealous, maniacal, or just plain petty then girl don't play. Know yourself well enough to know your own worth and abilities and trust your good intentions. Stick with what makes your heart feel good and the haters will fade away. They just won't be able to keep up.

Many more lessons of course that we will have to discuss, but you get the point. Big things in Chloe's life, and Margaret's as well involving romance.. oooh la la. They will have to give their share of the details. As far as me, I've been listening to my intuition, saw a Chinese face reader/astrologer who laid it on me with intriguing shifts as the big 30 turning point approaches! Looking forward to that, but really loving my life at twenty seven years old. Loving my friends as family and my family as friends and getting to know what it is I really want. Easier said then done. But stay tuned folks... at this pace, we could be looking at a whole lot more to cheer about.

Cheers ta fun!
